Rhoades-2007
I was in Da Nang Vietnam from 1969-1970.My name is (Phillip Rhoades) (My Camp name was Camp Horn. I was Sgt. of the Guard at the main Gate to Camp Horn. On 1/30/1970 a C-46 Schunk Chopper went down right in front of Camp Horn," it Burned up on the ground ,and no one come out from it ,they to burned up with the Chopper". I took pictures of it, as it came down ,And I took pictures of it as it was burning up. I did this so maybe some one could see just why it came down the way that it did. I gave my Officer the film that I had took of it. They blew up the pictures it and on on of the pictures that they had blown up was a date of 1/30/1970,and a time of 1:45 P.M. "I well never forget that day as long as I may live" They gave me back some of the pictures of it and I have the pictures of it yet today. I sent some of my pictures of that day to Mr. Howard Barnett. and it was nice for him to put some of the pictures of it at his web sight. I thank him with all of my heart. All I can say is" God Bless" all that went down with that Chopper, and "God Bless" all that served in Viet Nam.(Welcome Home to every one )Reverend Phillip Rhoades)
